You are ready for advanced yoga once you have gone through the beginner and the intermediate levels. The advanced version will naturally give you better challenges in strength and flexibility, so you want to make sure that you are ready for this next level. Once you start taking advanced training, your body will rapidly adjust to the new demands on it provided that you had adequate preparation for this.
Before you get on to advanced classes, though, you need to make sure that your previous training has prepared you for this. You don’t want to hold others in the same class back, for example. If you should do that, get back to some further beginning work before moving on.
With advanced yoga each and every class is going to see your stronger and more flexible than before. Your body will receive this challenge, provided that you have made it ready for it. If you are ready for it, you are going to succeed splendidly. But if you don’t find that the advanced class is challenging enough, see your yoga teacher to make sure that you are getting enough of a push to move ahead with your advanced yoga exercises.
Practicing at home is another good idea in this area. If you do as much as you can, your level of strength and flexibility will illustrate this. And when you get into your class again, you are not going to be feeling that you are not there all ready for the exercise you are given to do. Yoga is a way of building up on what has preceded every move. And getting to the next level is always a way to progress in advanced yoga.
If you are a do-it-yourself type, you may want to invest in a DVD or some Internet class to get on with advanced yoga. If the time element is a consideration, learning at home has the advantage in that you can make progress at your own pace. This way moving along to mastery is in your own hands.
With advanced yoga, you can take step-by-step improvements as you build strength and flexibility. This way you are going to be in a good position to reach a high level of achievement.
